BRANDING
BRANDING
When I began my journey as Marketing Manager at Water Wizz of Cape Cod I was told our logo was too old and no longer fit the brand, and was tasked to lead a team in order to create an entirely new logo, brand kit, and eventually a set of characters to represent the brand as mascots. This branding kit came to life the following summer in the park with brand-new food and beverage buildings utilizing the characters and colors of the kit. Below are some examples of my use of this branding kit.
With a new logo…
Comes a new logo launch! I was tasked with revealing the new logo to the public via social media.
After the teaser, came the reveal! I followed the same template as the teaser post for continuity, and utilized an image of a guest coming down the red slide pictured in the teaser post, “holding up” the new logo and mascot reveal! On the left are all the different iterations of the new logo listed out, contrasted against the old logos of the teaser post.
I began the logo launch process by creating a teaser post. Since Water Wizz had been open for 40 years, I was able to research and track down all of the old logos from years past, several of which were only available in print versions. I listed these out for the teaser post to give the audience a concept of what we were teasing, and then blurred out the new logo to give people a sneak peek! Creative social campaigns such as these are truly my favorite to execute.
Once the branding kit was established, I used it to design and create all promotional material for our events and sales. I was also involved with the entire creation process of each brand-new sale, thus allowing myself and the team to start the creation processes from scratch.
I also was able to utilize the branding kit to create in-the-park signage to increase sales and create cohesion within the park.
Utilizing the branding kit I was able to design and create business cards for both myself and all members of the office, including a QR code to custom Linktree pages that I also made for every member of our administrative office
Master’s Spring Project, Spring 2022
Prompt: Create an innovative clothing brand that utilizes aspects of the tech world.
Logo created in collaboration with graphic designer Serena Marques
My concept: The brand “Transparent”, a blockchain based customizable clothing brand that focuses on transparency throughout the creation process of the clothing to show both ethical and sustainable creation practices. The entire creation process would be uploaded as it occurs onto the consumer’s unique blockchain, as outlined in the mock purchase process video below. We were also asked to collaborate with a creative team for the final outcome, mimicking what professional creative directors do for their projects as well.
